We, at Matrimonial Law Chambers inform the clients that our constitution offers some sections that were introduced to deal with Dowry Harassment. Section 304 B was brought in the Indian Penal Code in order to strictly deal with and punish the offence of Dowry Death. It was a new offence created with effect from November 19, 1986 by insertion of the provision in the Indian Penal Code providing for a more stringent offence, than provided by Section 498A of the same Act, which deals with punishment for cruelty by husband and his relatives.

In the present atmosphere, Domestic Violence has become a very common in the Indian society. Despites of strong laws specially made to check, these kinds of things are flourishing by leap and bound. There are a number of causes of Domestic Violence. If we look these matters through feministic eyes, it happens because of patriarchal set-up of the Indian society.
